Laser Treatment for Skin

Skin resurfacing

Fractional laser resurfacing is a non-invasive procedure that can restore the skin and treat many imperfections. The fractional laser produces tiny micro-thermal healing zones to form beneath the skin. This spurs the natural production of collagen and gives skin a more youthful appearance.

We use Fractional Erbium: YAG lasers for resurfacing, and this had revolutionized the management of acne scars, wrinkles, post-traumatic and surgical scars. It is safe to be used on the face and body. There is a post-procedure downtime of five days after ablative laser resurfacing.

Alternatively, for those with busy work and social schedules that do not allow for extended recovery time, non ablative fractional resurfacing with Microneedling Radiofrequency (MNRF) and Superficial Fractional Radiofrequency (SFR) allows for less downtime.

IPL

These are light-based devices that target different cells to reduce pigmentation, scars, redness, wrinkles and textural abnormalities. It is also utilized for hair reduction. Each wavelength used is unique to a specific problem.

Pigmented lesions and birthmarks

Nevus of Ota, pigmented birthmarks, melasma and other types of pigmented lesions are treated with lasers that are chosen to selectively target pigment in the skin.

The settings of the laser and the treatment protocol are calibrated to achieve a good cosmetic result while avoiding skin discoloration.

Sunspots

Also known as freckles, these lesions become more pronounced through exposure to the sun. They are specifically treated with Qswitch Nd:YAG Laser.

Pigmentation around the eyes (Dark circles)

This is a very common problem that affects both men and women from a very young age. Also known as periocular melanosis, this is treated with lasers (Nd:YAG) alone or in combination with fillers and chemical peels.

Radio Frequency Treatment

Radio frequency energy consists of an alternating current, that uses electrical energy to create heat as the temperature within the tissue increases to > 60°C, to cause cell destruction. The advantage of such a thermal intervention system is that it causes no damage to the surrounding skin.

Radio frequency can be used as an alternative to laser in conditions such as skin tags, seborrheic keratosis, DPNs, warts, syringoma and xanthelasma.
